AYA, in December 2014 and June 2015, had a few samples taken of the iron mineralized geological
formations. Those samples yielded upon assaying values in Fe2O3 ranging from 27% to 48%, with an
average 48.9% SiO2.
During our visit, four samples of the same iron bearing formations have been taken and sent to a
laboratory. Similar results have been reported, and Fe2O3 was between 21.8% and 49,.7%, the
average SiO2 was 53.8%.
This type of iron mineralization high in silica is known as taconite and is mined in several places
